Summer is a busy time for our Policy Team! While we’re not in Annapolis quite as much, we are still tracking very closely the developments of the Kirwan Commission’s Funding Formula Workgroup. This is the group that will determine the “per-pupil” cost of education, and how much each county (and Baltimore City) will invest in education in relation to the State’s investment. We are advocating for funding formulas that count all students accurately and completely, and which will strengthen the future of public education in Baltimore City for years to come!
