Tywanna Taylor has overall operational and administrative responsibility for all Family League support functions including the Impact and People & Culture units. As the chief administrator, she provides leadership to Family League’s organizational restructuring following our strategic planning process aligned with new strategic initiatives.
In addition, Tywanna provides coordination for the leadership team, serves as a liaison to Family League’s assigned partners, and works with our Board of Directors to keep them abreast of strategies and challenges.
Tywanna partners with our President & CEO and all other members of the Leadership Team in developing, implementing, and managing the operational aspects of the annual budget. She leads the development and implementation of operational policies and standard operating procedures that support greater operational efficiencies and excellence.
Prior to joining Family League as its Senior Director for Grants and Contracts, Tywanna worked as a public servant for Baltimore City and the State of Maryland. In these capacities, Tywanna managed grants and contracts for various programs ranging from youth violence prevention to workforce development for unemployed and underemployed parents with child support obligations.
Tywanna obtained a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Leadership from the University of Delaware in 2003. She feels strongly that life has been her greatest teacher and considers herself an interminable student. Outside of professional pursuits, Tywanna enjoys Latin and Afro-Caribbean dancing, foodie road trips, and travel to lesser-known parts of the globe.
